Voice musician Hannah reflects on our weekend away:
“Earlier this year, Voice had a weekend away, staying overnight in Lymm, which was a great opportunity to meet up with friends who we may not have seen for a while. On the Saturday, we went up to Selby Abbey in York which is a beautiful building and, although the audience was small, you could really feel God’s presence. On Sunday, we went bowling. It was a chance to catch up and have some fun. After a buffet at Pizza Hut, we were joined by the Voice Junior Choir for our second concert at Lymm Baptist, keen to show off their dance moves for some of the songs. The January Weekend was enjoyable, an encouragement and I look forward to the Summer Residential.”
A big thank you to Hannah for sharing her thoughts. It really was fantastic returning to Selby Abbey for the second time and joining with almost a thousand years of worship there. Our concert in Lymm was also an opportunity for our junior members to perform, many for the very first time. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part … even though Simon is still reeling at being beaten at bowling!
