What a summer it has been! A remarkable time in Estonia followed by a wonderful week away at our youth residential in Lancaster. We have had so much fun, seen young people give their lives to the Lord, celebrated baptisms, shared the gospel through concerts and flash mobs, and we have been able to draw alongside others in the reality of life in the light of the reality of God’s love.
Another new academic year brings fantastic new opportunities. We can’t wait to get our groups in Chester, Liverpool, Malvern, Warrington and the Wirral going, seeing old faces and welcoming new ones. We’ll be heading into our schools in Liverpool and the Wirral again this term and we’ve got our youth songwriting retreat in October.
Our Voice Leader, Abbi, has received the support needed to increase her hours to three days a week and we’re really excited to see how God uses Abbi further in helping young people to develop as musicians, grow in their faith and be a voice in this world for God! One of our young leaders, Cai, will also be working with us a couple of days a week on an internship. Cai, who has been part of Voice on the Wirral for several years and has been a part of our residential and Estonian teams, will be supporting Abbi with schools work in Heswall and myself in running our groups in Upton and Chester. We look forward to see how God grows and uses Cai’s gifts and how He leads her next steps.
We are so thankful for all of our leaders, helpers and volunteers, especially Esther, Rosie, Hannah and Julia who will be supporting our regular groups this year. Please also give thanks and pray for Eliisabet and the team who are running their own Voice project in Estonia in the run up to Christmas!
We are so thankful for all of the opportunities that we have to make music with our young people and can’t wait to see how God uses our groups, projects and events to bless our members and those who listen to our music!
