Voice had the joy of returning to Estonia in July 2019 to run our second Voice Music Camp there. Team leader Cai reflects on her time there.
Going back to Estonia this year was a blessing in many ways for a lot of us. For me personally it was a chance to see the friends I had met the year before, to develop those friendships further and to see how God has been so at work in that community over the past 12 months. And to be so blessed by sharing God’s love with the new young people that came along. We were able to witness some of the Estonian youth giving their lives to the lord and also sharing their faith through baptism, which was incredibly wonderful.
Again, the week was filled with an unexplainable joy. Having experienced it now, I know it’s a feeling that only God can give and it was so present during the week, which was incredible.
We looked at Psalm 23 during our bible times and how he promises to be with us throughout all the different parts of the Psalm and our lives. Then surrounding that, we had a packed schedule of activities. Ranging from flashmobs to talent shows, boating on the lake and ceilidh dances with the church community too!
I loved being back in Estonia, working on where I am in my faith and being with my friends again, most of whom I hadn’t seen in a year. There were challenges, but overall it was a wonderful week of joy.
