What an exciting few months it has been for Voice. Getting back to making music and exploring faith together, launching new groups in Prestbury, Liverpool, Runcorn, South Manchester and Nottingham and welcoming lots of new faces to our Voice family. We now have 15 Voice groups with over 130 children and young people making outstanding music, inspiring faith and being a voice in this world for God!
Beth launched Voice Nottingham at St. Mark’s in Woodthorpe in September and both junior and youth groups were able to put on a concert at Christmas. Beth writes: “it was wonderful to have both groups performing together and to feel the sense of community. The concert was a huge success, everyone that came was very positive and it was great to spread the mission of Voice further. Our hope for the future is for Voice Nottingham to continue to be a place of safety and welcome for all young people, regardless of where they come from and who they are, and that we might continue to grow in numbers and grow in passion to spread the love of God through our music.”
Some of our other groups have performed in services, concerts and showcases, of which we have been super impressed and incredibly proud. One audience member commented of a performance in Lymm at Christmas: “We loved Voice’s performances during the Carol service. I think our daughter is now counting down the years until she can join Voice! Well done to all involved!” We look forward to all of our groups performing over the coming months, entertaining many more audiences and sharing God’s truth, love and joy through their music.
We’re also excited to be getting our residential programme up and running again in 2022 after the disruption of the past couple of years. Last weekend, we took some of our youth to Bala in Wales, in June our juniors will be having their weekend away at Quinta and we are looking forward to our summer youth residential weeks in Somerset and Lancaster in August.
We are so thankful to God and to all of our leaders, volunteers, members and supporters, sticking alongside us over the past couple of years and cheering us on as our work enters into a new season.
